Author: Michael Cordonnier/Soybean & Corn Advisor, Inc.

The 2024/2025 Argentina corn estimate was left unchanged this week at 50.0 million tons with a neutral bias.

The corn harvest in Argentina advanced only 1.7% last week to 40.5% as farmers focused on their soybean harvest. Corn harvesting in Buenos Aires province continues to be hampered by excessive wetness.

The nationwide corn yield is now estimated at 8,000 kg/ha (127.2 bu/ac) with a low of 5,000 kg/ha (79.5 bu/ac) in northern Argentina and a high of 8,550 kg/ha (135.9 bu/ac) in the northern core region.
